Experience live light music in the park, as the Isle of Wight Symphony Orchestra returns to Havenstreet for their Steam Railway Proms tomorrow (Saturday).
Union Jacks will be out in force, waving to celebrate the music of fictional British secret agent, James Bond, and special agent, Dick Barton (The Devil’s Gallop theme music), together with some well-known and recognisable railway pieces for all the family.
The concert will end in traditional style with audience participation singing along to Rule Britannia!, Land of Hope and Glory, and Jerusalem.
General manager, Steve Backhouse, said: “This has become a firm favourite in our calendar for our visitors to enjoy some fabulous music with steam trains as a backdrop.
“Don’t forget to bring your picnics and something to sit on and our bar and café will also be open.”
The Steam Railway will be running a normal timetable on the day including a late train after the concert. The concert starts at 3pm and tickets can be booked on-line at iow.life/iwsrspecials and will also be available on the day.
