The Addams Family are on the way to Newport

This April, you are invited to the delightfully hilarious and macabre world of The Addams Family, staged by Theatretrain and TEd (Theatre Educational).

A comical feast which embraces the wackiness in every family, The Addams Family features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keeping a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents.

Speaking about the collaboration between the two drama groups, TheatreTrain’s Julie Caudle said: “We would love and hope to bring together one show a year for younger performers, like we did for ‘Matilda’, and one show a year for more mature cast as we have with ‘Addams’.”

With a lively and varied music score, plenty of great singing and dancing, and – most of all – lots and lots of laughs along the way, this is a show not to be missed.
