St Mary’s blood test times soar as patients urged to come another day

Patients expecting a blood test on Tuesday (November 6) at St Mary’s Hospital have been told to come back another day as waiting times soar.

The current wait time on Tuesday afternoon for a blood test are two hours according to the IW NHS Trust’s Facebook page.

An NHS spokesman said: “If you’ve visited St Mary’s Hospital today for a blood test you will have seen how busy the service is – thank you for your patience.

“There is currently a two hour wait for a blood test so if you’re planning to come to the hospital this afternoon, unless your blood test is urgent, you may wish to consider coming on another day.”

St Mary’s recommend you come back another day if your blood test is not urgent.
