The Shanklin 1st Scout’s Hut in Batts Road was vandalised between 1pm and 2.30pm.
Pictures of the hut show two skylight windows were smashed.
Island residents took to Facebook to vent their frustrations after the incident, many of them condemning the act as “mindless”.
Hampshire Constabulary have been contacted for comment.
The Shanklin 1st Scouts have been approached for comment.
