The Isle of Wight Council’s budget proposals for 2019/20 will be discussed at a public meeting this month.

Residents have been invited to share their views during the two-hour session at Medina Theatre on 30 January, from 6.30pm.

Councillor Stuart Hutchinson, Cabinet member for resources, said: “We’re very mindful that we have to make some tough decisions in the next financial year and we are grateful to those who have already fed back their thoughts through our consultation.

“This is an opportunity to have a frank and honest conversation about the challenges we face and understand more about what priorities our community has for our services next year.”

The council’s online budget consultation closes on 23 January and is available at https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/6LTTQJK

The budget will be finalised in February 2019.
