Ryde’s resilient bowlers retained the Island Top Team Trophy after a close battle with Shanklin, winning by a three shot difference after a 2-2 draw. They received the title, for the third successive year, from county president, Carol Jones.
In Division One, leaders Cowes Medina A won 10-0 (70-47) away at Ryde Marina A, Shanklin A won 8-2 away at Ventnor A, Totland A won 8-2 (59-55) at home to Bembridge A, Cowes Medina B won 7-3 (53-51) against Shanklin B, and Plessey A won 10-0 (65-58) away at Sandown A.
In Division Two, Sandown C lost 10-0 (64-31) at home to Ventnor B, Sandown B won 8-2 (62-53) at home to Ryde Marina B, and Newport A won 10-0 (71-36) away at Cowes Medina C.
In Division Three, Totland B won 10-0 (71-37.5) at home to Ventnor C, Ryde Marina C won 8-2 (58-44) away at Newport B, and leaders, Sandown E, won the south coast derby 8-2 (60-49) away at Shanklin E.
In the Afternoon League, Ryde Marina D top Division One, and Cowes Medina D lead Division Two.
