Random‑World to open this spring

A new interactive attraction, Random‑World, is due to open just outside Newport in late spring, offering a different kind of visitor experience from the traditional family day out. Developed by the team behind Random‑Rooms, the Island’s established escape‑room provider, the project moves away from puzzle‑solving and instead focuses on open, exploratory play.

Based in the former Mothercare building, next to Argos in Carisbrooke, Random‑World is designed as a free‑flow environment made up of a series of themed spaces and hands‑on exhibits. Rather than following a set route or completing tasks, visitors will be able to move through the attraction at their own pace, engaging with installations in whatever way suits them. The creators describe it as an opportunity for “curiosity and connection”, with an emphasis on tactile, screen‑free interaction.

Pre‑booked tickets will cost £14 per person, with under‑fours admitted free. Each booking allows a three‑hour visit, which the team says is intended to prevent overcrowding and give people time to explore without pressure. Alongside general admission, Random‑World plans to run occasional special events and will make the venue available for private hire.

The attraction is aimed at a broad audience, including families, adults and mixed‑age groups looking for an alternative to more structured or competitive activities. Further details – including the confirmed opening date and ticket release – will be announced closer to launch.
