Schools and parents across the Isle of Wight are invited to express their interest in an exciting new opportunity for students to showcase their creativity, and win prizes for their schools and themselves.
The Cherry Godfrey Ad-mazing Creations Competition, being run in partnership with the IW Observer, gives children the chance to design advertisements for Island businesses and apply their creativity to real-life advertising briefs.
The Ad-mazing Creations Competition invites children from Island nurseries, primary schools, secondary schools, and those who are home-schooled, to take part and create adverts based on a simple brief provided by a participating business. Whether ads are designed freehand or digitally, the judges will be looking for the creativity of Island youngsters.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three designs in pre-school/primary and secondary age groups, with the winners chosen based on creativity and effort.
Winners will be celebrated at a fun awards ceremony, where schools and young people will be presented with their prizes. The winning ads will feature prominently in an IW Observer special commemorative feature. A local business might even take up your idea and use it in their promotional campaigns.
All schools, and parents of home-schooled children, are invited to register their interest. Just email marketing@cherrygodfrey.com to receive further details and a link to the full competition details when the initiative is formally launched early next year.
