Police and volunteers continue search for missing Charlotte

Police and Isle of Wight Search and Rescue volunteers are searching parts of Rookley tonight, in hopes of locating missing 44-year-old, Charlotte.

Search teams were seen liaising with police officers on Main Road, Rookley at the junction with Backwater Hollow and Niton Road. A dog unit was also seen heading towards the area.

Charlotte went missing from St Mary’s Hospital yesterday afternoon (January 9).

Police also received reports of a potential sighting of Charlotte heading towards Rookley between 7.15pm and 8.15pm on Wednesday Night.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said “It is really cold out there and we’re growing increasingly concerned for Charlotte. She was last seen wearing hospital provided ‘scrubs’ and a black specked cardigan.

“We have had a great response from you all so far, so thanks for your support.”
