The National Trust, Isle of Wight, has paid tribute to its countryside manager, Robin Lang, who recently passed away.
A spokesman said: “It is with great sadness that we acknowledge and honour this news.
“Robin was a much-loved and cherished member of our team and the local community, dedicating his career to preserving and caring for the Island’s beautiful countryside. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to his family during this difficult time.
“We kindly ask for your patience as our team, deeply affected by this loss, continue their work across our sites. Thank you for your understanding and support.”
Robin’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 24, at noon, at the Church of St Peter and St Paul, Mottistone, followed by a gathering at Mottistone Manor. A Book of Remembrance is available at the church for those wishing to share their tributes.
Donations to UNICEF can be made on the day or directly through Geoff Leather Funeral Directors.
