Man pleads guilty to the murder of Gerald Pragnell

A 34 year-old man has pleaded guilty to the murder of an Isle of Wight grandfather who was found dead in woodlands near Southampton Common.

Gerald Pragnell, 66, was murdered in Southampton in November. His body was found off Cemetery Road, near Southampton Common.

Tommy Scott, 34, of no fixed address, appeared via video link at Winchester Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to the murder of Mr Pragnell.

Scott will be sentenced on February 14.
