A male driver has had a lucky escape following a single vehicle collision on Staplers Road on the outskirts of Newport on Sunday (December 9).
Police launched an investigation surrounding the incident involving a silver Peugeot 106.
Paramedics treated a man at the scene who was later taken to St Mary’s hospital for treatment and a check up.
Southern Vectis buses in the area were put on a local divert after the road was closed to aid the recovery and clean up of the vehicle.
