So, the pumpkins and face paint have been packed away for another year and now it’s bonfire night – Guy Fawkes and all that. If you prefer an organised display to setting off your own fireworks in the garden, check out these displays coming up over the weekend and the next few days.

YARMOUTH

When: Monday

Where: Yarmouth, The Square and The Common

Time: From 6.30pm

Tickets: Free (donations to Yarmouth Carnival Committee appreciated)

Monday is November 5 so this is a proper Guy Fawkes’ Night shindig. The annual Yarmouth fireworks kicks off with a guy competition being judged outside The Bugle at 6.30pm. To get right into the spirit of the evening, there will be a hog roast, mulled wine, toffee apples and hot chestnuts on sale in The Square.

At around 6.45pm, a torchlight parade will walk towards The Common where the fireworks, weather permitting, will be set off just off The Common – or at the end of the pier.
