The Bembridge RNLI lifeboat evacuated an injured crew member from a large RORO cargo ship that was anchored off Sandown Bay on Monday (March 4).
Lifeboat crews were tasked to launch by Solent Coastguard at around 9:40am following reports from ‘Eddystone’ that a crew member had been injured in an accident, leaving them requiring immediate hospital treatment.
RNLI Volunteers arrived on scene at around 10:00am and worked quickly to transfer the patient from the cargo ship to the lifeboat.
