The IW Ploughing Match will be held tomorrow (Saturday) at Churchills Farm, Yarmouth, PO41 0UB by kind permission of Miss Zoe Plant.

The show is open to the public from 8.30am, with ploughing starting at 9am and finishing around 2:30pm. However, the site will still be open and results will be announced at the secretary’s tent at around 3.30pm.

This year they have 22 trade stands and 37 ploughmen, and their chosen charity is The Admiral Nurses.

They will also be having a presentation evening for all of the awards which will be taking place on September 28 at The Chequers Inn, Rookley. Tickets can be purchased at the secretary’s tent.

The IW Ploughing match has been running annually since 1947. Ploughing matches are held on a local level throughout the country, with the majority being held during September, October and November although many are now held in the spring.
