Island author, Jo Cooper, has released her latest novel ‘All About Peggy’, a follow‑up to her award‑winning ‘There Will Be Blue Skies’.
The book brings to life the story of Peggy, the nurse who featured in Cooper’s ‘A Red Sky’ trilogy about child evacuees to the Isle of Wight.
Set in the early years of the Second World War, the novel explores the human trials of the period, and is inspired by the lives of Jo’s own parents. Fiona Newnham‑Brothers praised the book, saying readers will be “enticed into Nurse Peggy’s world during WW2, kept on their toes as real life events and the horrors of war unfold. Set on the Isle of Wight, with her sweetheart Brian, the couple experience many dangers.”
Jo will be signing and dedicating copies for readers at several events before Christmas, including the Bembridge Village Hall Craft Fair on Thursday, November 20, the Calbourne Water Mill Christmas Fair on November 23 and 24, the Sandown Lifeboat Christmas Fair at the Broadway Centre on Saturday, November 29, and the Isle Dream of a Wight Christmas Fair, at Medina Sports Hall, on Sunday, November 30.
All About Peggy is available for £8 from Amazon Books, jocooperbooks.com
