The opening of the Albion Hotel, in Freshwater Bay, may be delayed by up to a fortnight following it major renovations.
General manager, Mark Craven, said: “Basically, we are hedging our bets. We would like to open on June 1, but it could now be anytime between June 1 and June 15.
“We have eight electric distribution boards to get live and these normally take a week at a time. We’re trying to get the eight installed in six weeks.
“If this goes according to plan, we will open on June 1. We are just getting to the stage when we are starting to finish things off. We have 80 tradesmen on site each day.
“We also need to train staff and get them on site, but for that to happen we need the electrics working. Fingers crossed, we will get there. It’s all looking fabulous inside.”
