Firefighters return to Tarvic 2 and St Moritz hotels
1 min readIsle of Wight Firefighters have been called back to the Culver Parade.
The Tarvic 2 and St Moritz fire has reignited – fire crews from Ryde and Shanklin are attending on Monday evening (September 3).
Fire tore through both hotels on Sunday (September 2) from 11am until the afternoon.
An aerial ladder platform and the command unit are attending the scene – police have closed Culver Parade.
At 7.05pm Colin Midmore, a local resident and eye witness said: “No flames, just a bit of smoke but four appliances including elevated platform plus the command unit… Although that didn’t stay long.”
Ryde, Sandown and Shanklin have returned to the scene of last nights fire, as smoke was seen coming from the remains, H74A1 (Bronto) was used to apply more water.. The extent of the damage can now be seen. @iwightfire @Hants_fire pic.twitter.com/5yTI5IALOt

Update: Crews have left the scene and Culver Parade has reopened
Around 50 Firefighters attended Sunday’s blaze, Hampshire Fire and Rescue were also on the scene along with the Ambulance Service and police.
