By Isle of Wight ObserverFirefighters attended a fire at St Catherine’s Point.
A firecrew from Ventnor attended the incident at around 7.50am on Tuesday morning (August 7).
The fire was in a similar area to a fire in Niton Undercliff that happened on Monday afternoon (August 6).
A spokesman for the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said: “It’s in the same area [as yesterday’s (August 6) fire in Niton Undercliff]. The trouble with that sort of land when you have heather and brambles is that the heat can travel underneath.
“Just one pump went down and they are on their way back now.”
