Festival of Transport is a hit at IW Steam Railway

All types of vehicles, including cars, lorries, bikes and trucks were on display at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway’s Festival of Transport at Havenstreet, on Sunday.

Around 1,000 people visited the site and were also treated to the spectacle of around 140 motorcyclists finishing the Distinguished Gentleman’s Rideout earlier in the day.

Events officer, Liz Tagart, said: “Any type of transport available was on display and visitors were also able to ride one of our steam trains as well.

“There was a mixture of vintage and modern vehicles, and visitors were able to tour our various stalls, which included Island food and crafts.

“It was also great to see the Distinguished Gents in their numbers and they certainly livened up proceedings when they arrived!”
