After her great run in the Verona Marathon, Ryde Harrier, Carly Scoble, has set personal bests over 10km (6 1/4 miles) in January, and now, over the half marathon, running in the Farnborough winter half on Sunday.
In good running conditions for February. The field of almost 2,500 set off on an undulating loop around the roads of Farnborough Airfield and country lanes.
Carly was soon into her running, and passed 10km in 38m 25s, looking strong which she continued through 10 miles in 62m 46s.
The run in to the finish at the Village Hotel contain long slow continuous climbs, but she held her form to record a personal best of 83min 26sec.
This event also contained an England Masters Trial, where athletes competed to represent England; competitors travelled from all parts of the UK.
Carly finished as 8th lady overall from the large field, and 4th in her 35-39 age category.
Adam Clarke, of Aldershot, Farnham & District, who is coached by Geoff Watkin, from the Ryde Harries, was the overall winner, breaking the course record in a fast 63m 46s.
