Freshwater Parish Council has received a donation of £1,000 in support of the proposed Freshwater Skatepark and Pump Track.
The new skatepark, set to be located on the Stroud playing field, has been designed with input from local residents, young people, and enthusiasts, to ensure it meets the community’s aspirations. Once completed, it will provide a safe, purpose-built environment for skating, BMX biking, scootering, and more, helping to promote healthy lifestyles and positive recreational opportunities for Freshwater and the wider West Wight area.
Parish clerk, Kirsty Gibson, added: “This donation from Trant Engineering demonstrates a strong commitment to community development and youth engagement. With the support of organisations like this, we are well on our way to turning this exciting project into a reality.”
