Delays on Red Funnel after faulty linkspan

Red funnel ferries have been experiencing difficulties today (December 28) with a faulty linkspan resulting in only one deck being unloaded at Southampton.

A vehicle break-down has also prevented a ferry from docking.

According to users of the Red Funnel service, the linkspans have not been operating properly since the beginning of December.

Red funnel have said: – “Due to the revised temporary loading procedure the vehicle ferry service may experience some minor delays.”
