Cowes RNLI scramble to Osborne Bay in yacht rescue

A yacht in danger of being driven ashore by a brisk northerly wind on Sunday night (October 21) saw the Cowes RNLI lifeboat going to its aid.

The Pequenita yacht, with two persons aboard, was dragging its anchor in Osborne Bay and had no engine power.

The Cowes RNLI lifeboat launched at 12.45am and eventually towed the yacht to Trinity Landing.

It returned to station at 1.42am.
