Mountbatten Isle of Wight is inviting Islanders to brave the bricks, as the Island’s first Lego Walk comes to Robin Hill Adventure Park next month.
The unusual fund-raising challenge will form part of Fireworks with Mountbatten, on Saturday, November 7, giving participants the chance to walk across a gauntlet of Lego bricks.
Described as a fire walk with hot coals swapped for Lego, the challenge is open to adults and children aged five and over.
Tickets cost £10 per person and must be booked in advance, with participants encouraged to raise at least £75 in sponsorship for Mountbatten.
Money raised will support the charity’s round-the-clock compassionate care, 85 per cent of which is delivered in people’s homes across the Island. The remainder is provided through day and outpatient services at Mountbatten’s John Cheverton Centre, and its specialist inpatient unit in Newport.
A separate ticket for Fireworks with Mountbatten is required to take part in the Lego Walk.
Entertainment will take place throughout the event before the evening culminates in a fireworks finale. Tickets and further information can be found via iw.observer/fireworks.
