Another week of disorder looks likely INSIDE Newport McDonald’s

Officers from Hampshire Constabulary, who have adopted a zero tolerance to anti social behaviour in Newport, have again been called to Newport McDonald’s to deal with disorder.

There has also been a disturbance reported in the Mark’s and Spencer’s car park in Newport town centre. Police were called there just after 7 pm on Monday.

Update: 8pm We have now learnt that Hampshire Constabulary were called to McDonald’s to deal with a behind-the-counter dispute between two members of staff.

A McDonald’s employee was seen with his hands around his manager’s throat following an argument in the kitchen.

Both McDonald’s employees are understood to have been suspended, and no arrests were made.

Earlier, the police had asked a large group of teenagers outside the restaurant to disperse.
