Alfie Haydon travelled to Plymouth at the weekend, to compete in the final round of the ‘Soggy Bottom’ MTB Series, at Newnham Park.
Alfie took his second win of the series and the Junior Overall title. He said: “It was a beautiful day for racing and the course was mega, one of the best I’ve ridden. There was over 600 feet of elevation every lap and the steepest hill I’ve ever had to race up.
“I had a good start, got my head down and put in some consistent lap times to take the win comfortably.” Alfie is a member of the Wightlink-Wight Mountain Cycle Race Team.
