Afternoon tea event raises money for RNLI

The ladies of the Cowes RNLI Guild hosted an afternoon tea and prosecco event at the Corinthian Yacht Club in Cowes.

It was a glorious afternoon in the sunshine and was very well attended. Guests were treated to sandwiches, savoury rolls, scones with cream and jam, and cake. This was accompanied by pots of tea served in fine china. Everyone received a welcome glass of prosecco to start off the afternoon. Musical accompaniment was provided by the Brighstone Barnacles who played and sang sea shanties. As usual there was a raffle with plenty of prizes. The guild made £1,111.55 profit at this event, with all monies going to the RNLI.
