Teenager left heartbroken by cruel theft of £1,000 Mountain bike

Two men were observed on the night of New Year’s Eve, attempting to steal from people’s gardens by torchlight in the Carisbooke area.

Police are now investigating two incidents in Carisbrooke after thieves made off with a mountain bike bike, worth in excess of a £1,000, after breaking into a van and making off down Nodgham Lane and School Lane.

Ben Sheppard is appealing for information and the safe return of his bike.

The black and orange Scott Scale 970 Hardtail Mountain Bike was a Christmas gift to the Carisbrooke resident, who has been left heartbroken.

Police officers are reviewing CCTV images from local businesses in an attempt to identify the thieves.
