Yarmouth lights up the sky

1 min read

Families from across West Wight gathered in Yarmouth Square on Monday for the traditional Guy Fawkes competition and torchlight parade to the common, organised by Yarmouth Carnival Committee.

Bonfire night food and drink were on hand to the revellers, including favourite fare such as hog roast, hot chestnuts, toffee apples and mulled wine.

The festivities culminated with the burning of the guy in the beacon on the common, and a firework display from a barge moored in the Solent.
