Wonderful Wolverton is coming next weekend

Wolverton Manor Garden Fair takes place next weekend (August 31 and September 1), from 10am-5pm on both days.

The Island’s largest garden fair is returning this August and September, and is offering a host of activities, demonstrations and displays across the weekend!

Wolverton’s ‘Hare Garden’ hosts the IW Poultry tent, West Wight Alpacas, The Falconry Experience displaying their beautiful birds of prey, and hosting a demonstration each day of their birds, live in action.

David Randini hosts a Magic Moments show each day on the manor lawn, followed up in the afternoon by a classic ‘Punch & Judy’ show! Also on the lawn, there will be Elizabethan re-enactments, and dancing with Passamezzo, along with their still room, cookery demos, and Annie the Pedlar.

You can kayak around the moat with Tackt-Isle Adventures and the Country & Moat field hosts ‘Have a Go Archery’ with Wight Bowmen, chainsaw carving, with Mark Buckett, alongside demonstrations from Ability Dogs 4 Young People across the weekend.

Each afternoon, local obedience group ‘Barking Mad’ hosts a fun dog show, inviting everyone to enter their pooches into some fun-filled rounds with the chance of winning a rosette!

Wolverton Manor Garden Fair offers a variety of displays by IW Embroiderers, IW Guild of Weavers, Spinners & Dyers, IW Coppice group, Vintage Tractor & Engine Club, Vintage Military Vehicles and the American Auto Club.

There will be beautiful vintage amusements, bouncy castles and slides all running alongside their showground with over 180 garden and craft exhibitors showcasing their wares.

Parking is free and tickets can be purchased on the door at £8 for adults. Children under 14 go free! Advance adult tickets costing only £6 are on sale while stocks last at The Brighstone Village Shop, IW Observer in Newport, and Hose Rhodes Dickson in Ryde.

Wolverton is a dog friendly event, so do take your furry friends as long as they are kept on a lead. Stall-holder payment methods vary so we recommend you bring cash and card.
