This week, the IW Observer has teamed up with the Imaginarium and other attractions at Fort Victoria to bring you a fabulous prize for the whole family to enjoy, and all you have to do is tell us why you want to win it!
If you’ve not visited Fort Victoria before, you’re in for a real treat. And if you have, you’ll be thrilled at the thought of spending another day there. Known as the Country Park by the Sea, there’s a whole host of things to do and enjoy.
The Imaginarium, true to its name, is a place where creativity and imagination know no bounds. You’ll see amazing local artwork and crafts, and get the chance to get your own creative imagination going with their daily drop-in creativities which start at just £4; there is something for every budget. The prize also includes a family ticket to the fascinating HMS Gladiator Museum, where you can learn about the disastrous collision in 1908 between HMS Gladiator and ocean-going liner, SS St Paul – an accident that cost 27 lives.
Everyone will be intrigued by the IW Reptilarium, where your family ticket will give you the opportunity to come face to face with all sorts of creatures, from snakes, lizards and terrapins to snails, frogs, and cockroaches.
You can also visit the Planetarium (entry not included), learn about all the paranormal activity at Fort Victoria, enjoy the café, museum, and gift shop and play in the traditional penny arcade.
