Wightlink ‘mechanical issue’ forces timetable change

One of Wightlink’s ships is experiencing a mechanical issue – forcing a change in their timetable for the weekend.

Wightlink did not specify which ship in their fleet is experiencing issues or what the issue is but Victoria of Wight can be seen docked at Portsmouth Harbour using an online tracking service.

The “temporary timetable” will be in operation from Friday (September 7) until Monday (September 10).

A source who wished to remain anonymous said: “Victoria of Wight needs to be dry docked as they over pressurised a tank which failed. It’ll be out of service for a while.”
