The West Wight Floral Arts Society celebrated it’s 45th birthday, with a special lunch at the New Holmwood Hotel, Cowes, last Thursday (March 21).
More than 50 society members, plus guests from The Island, Northwood and Ventnor Flower Clubs attended the occasion.
After lunch, everyone was treated to a flower demonstration by Lucy Ellis, a national demonstrator, entitled ‘The Lime Light’.
The striking floral arrangements used the most exotic flowers in theatre-themed containers .
The day was rounded up with the flowers being raffled, followed by tea and coffee, and society chairman, Corinne Halkyard, cutting the anniversary cake.
