Star-studded international musicians will open the 2024/2025 season for West Wight Arts Association tomorrow (Saturday), in Freshwater Memorial Hall, starting at 7pm.
The virtuoso trombonist, Peter Moore, will perform an intriguing programme of songs and arrangements, with award-winning mezzo soprano, Anna Huntley, and one of Ireland’s leading pianists, Michael McHale.
Peter Moore, when, aged 12 in 2008, became the youngest ever winner of BBC Young Musician, kick-started a solo career.
They will perform songs and arrangements by Schumann, Schubert, Massenet, Pauline Viardot, Frank Bridge and others, including Manning Sherman’s “A Nightingale sang in Berkeley Square”.
