This week’s midweek football results

In the Hampshire Senior Cup, Newport won 3-2 away at Millbrook, with goals from Jordan Browne, Sonny Myram and Mike Thompsett. Cowes lost 3-2 away at New Milton in the Wessex League Cup, with two goals in the first half, to Will Bridi and John McKie to lead 2-0, and will be disappointed to concede three second-half goals, including the injury time decider.

Vics have announced the signing of Scott Jones, the former Havant & Waterlooville goal-scorer.

On the Island, in the Memorial Cup, High Park beat Pan 6-1; Newchurch beat Ryde Saints 3-2 on penalties, after the match ended 2-2, with goals from Keith Rust and Ethan Brierley; newly reformed Oakfield won 2-1 at home to Niton, whose consolation goal came from Dan Skinner; and East Cowes Sports won 7-1 away at Seaview, with two goals from Ruben Bryan, and one apiece for Mac Blacklock, Stephen Ebbs, and Gary and Josh Richardson.

In the Junior A Cup, Sandown & Lake Res won 7-3 away at Bembridge Res, with goals from Dylan Andrews (3), Shay Dixon, Connor Gudgin, Jacob Jenner and Oliver Parkinson, with consolation strikes from Aiden White (2) and Ollie Gough; Shanklin Res won 4-0 at home to East Cowes Sports Res, with goals from Dan Drudge and a Finlay Lloyd hat-trick; and W&B Res won 3-1 away at Osborne Coburg res, with goals from Liam Slaven, Barney Snaith and Robert Taylor, while Adam Glen netted for Osborne.

In Division 1, W&B top the division after grabbing a late winner in the 2-1 home win against West Wight. The visitors took an early lead through Josh Daley, with Kade Woodford equalising before the break, and, late in the match, W&B skipper Harry Ovnik headed home the winner, late in injury time.

In Combination 2, Osborne Coburg A won 16-1 away at Ryde Saints Res, with Joe Crabb scoring for Ryde; Bembridge A won 3-2 away at Ventnor A, with consolation goals from Martin Barrow and Robert Gee; Oakfield Res won 4-3 away at West Wight A, who scored through Archie Goddard (2) and sub, Harrison Glover; and Sandown & Lake Res won 8-0 away at Vectis Res, with goals from Jake Lester (2), Michael Smart (2), Montgomery Bardell, Will Shepherd, and Dan Worboyes.
