Families across the Island can enjoy a fun-packed day out on Sunday, at the Workwear Island Charity Football Match at Brading Town Football Club – promising football, family entertainment, and a fantastic cause.
Gates open from 10am with the match kicking off at 2pm. Children go free, with a suggested donation of £5 or more for adults. With more than 30 local tradesmen and business owners taking part, spectators can expect a good-natured contest – all in aid of Mountbatten.
There will be a half-time performance, by Derek Sandy, and there’s plenty for children to enjoy – including inflatables, games, stalls, and mini-matches after the adults’ match.
Celebrations will continue later with live music from Catch 22, followed by a party atmosphere set by DJ Carl Wright to close the day in style.
Ellie Moore of Workwear Island who founded the event said: “I started this match in memory of my mum, with the hope of bringing our Island community together to do something positive. It’s about giving back, remembering loved ones, and making sure no family faces tough times alone.”
