The 2025 Yarmouth Mayor’s Award was presented to Andrew Johnson, in recognition of his 40 years’ service as Churchwarden of St Swithin, in Thorley, on Tuesday.
Yarmouth mayor, Debbie McCleary, presented the award at the annual meeting of St Swithin PCC held at the church.
Deputy Mayor, Gill Head, said: “Andrew has been a stalwart of the church for the last 40 years and deserves this award now he is retiring.”
Andrew was a former manager of Thorley Manor, and took an active part in the local community with charity fund-raising; he was also a Yarmouth School governor.
