All are welcome to Blackwater Mill’s Teddy Bear Picnic, in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society, next Friday (August 25).
There is free entry for the tasty cream-tea picnic buffet, which runs from 11am until 4pm.
With day-long live entertainment and lots more, there is something for all the family to enjoy.
The giant inflatable archery game and steady hand buzzer games will be fun for everyone, while older children (sometimes known as adults) can relive their childhood and compete with younger visitors playing hook-a-duck and ring toss. There is also a great teddy bear hunt around the beautifully landscaped grounds.
As well as the cream-tea picnic, you can quench your thirst with a great range of drinks.
Test your luck in the raffle, with a huge range of gift vouchers, hampers and tasty goodies up for grabs, all donated by local businesses.
Entry to the event is free, but take along cash for donations for the cream-tea picnic, games and to buy raffle tickets for the chance to win some amazing prizes. Also take along a picnic blanket or chairs to sit on and Teddy if he is joining you.
If there are summer showers on Friday there is shelter available, so the fund-raising fun can still go ahead.
Blackwater Mill Residential Home is just outside Newport on Blackwater Hollow. You can find details of late additions to the fun on their Facebook page.
