A group of Nodehill Sixth Form students took part in a 25-mile walk to raise £1,500 for UNICEF on Sunday.
The 17 teenagers took part in the ‘Walking the Gaza Strip’ fund-raiser, to raise money for the stricken territory which has been devastated by the Israel and Hamas war.
Cerys Briscoe, who is studying English, Law and History, said: “We’re all good walkers and wanted to raise money for UNICEF and the good work they are doing in Gaza, which is in ruins.
“We went along the coastal path from Newport to Yarmouth via Shalfleet, and it went really well and there were no injuries! We’ve met our target which is amazing and it was well worthwhile.”
