In South Central Solent One, player-of-the-match Cian Smallwood-Butler’s hat-trick saw IW 2nd XI win 6-2 at home to Fareham, with an Allan Ball penalty corner and two Oscar Purser field goals, on target for a buoyant Island side.
The Women’s 2nd XI narrowly lost 2-1 at home to Portsmouth III, with Jaimie Payne getting the consolation field goal in the second half, with outstanding performances from Katie Bunn and Klara Greszczyk.
IW U-14 Boys won 4-2 away at Winchester U-14s.
This weekend the Men’s 1st XI welcome Fareham III in Central Division Two South (2.30pm), preceded by the 4th-placed Men’s 2nd XI facing a visit from Chichester Chipmunks (1pm). The Women’s 1st XI are away to Swanage & Wareham, and the 2nd XI are home to Alton at 11am.
