Cowes Sports, the Island’s only Wessex League, Premier Division club, today announced the appointment of former Football League player, and experienced coach Steve Rutter, as their first team manager for the 2019/2020 season.
Steve has already been working with caretaker manager, and player, John Mckie for the last two months, and will take over officially as soon as the current campaign has ended.
A club statement included: “Steve has the full support of the players. Grateful thanks to John and his backroom staff for their sterling effort in retaining our Premier League status. John has decided to stand down to concentrate his efforts on the pitch at Westwood next season.”
