Dear Editor,
I doubt if I am alone in being somewhat bemused – and amazed – at receiving two flyers from ‘Your Labour Government’ (it isn’t – I have never, and would not, vote Labour) advising what the obviously perceive to be a deluded populace, that they are going to be “fixing potholes, backing British pubs, protecting small businesses, cutting business rates” and all manner of other wonders.
Most incredibly however, they are “Backing British business”!!! This from the destructive mob who couldn’t wait to wage war and raise taxes on anyone and anything who doesn’t “work” for the public and unionised sector; this sector having been handsomely rewarded for doing nothing extra to justify this increase. Having no understanding of how their much vaunted “growth” is actually supposed to work, perhaps they meant the growth in taxes.
It seems they are slightly early in publishing this fictional insult to our intelligence – April 1 is still a few weeks away.
