STAR LETTERS: No sympathy for William’s willy antics

Dear Editor,

Chancellor, Jeremy Hunt, praised William Wragg for being ‘courageous’.

I don’t know what’s courageous about sending a picture of your sausage to a complete stranger, then handing out contact details of fellow MPs, and for two of those MPs allegedly themselves sending intimate photos. Who were they by the way? I think we should be told. What is going on in the Tory Party? If it’s not tractor porn, it’s that other disgraced Tory whip, Chris Pincher, being defended by BoJo.

Imagine any other walk of life where lewd conduct would be so readily defended by your colleagues, with claims you were a ‘victim’? So much for integrity, professionalism and accountability at every level, eh Rishi?

Dear Editor,

Last week Bob Seely was on Newsnight, saying William Wragg is ‘strong’ and deserves sympathy. He is out of touch with decent people.

Mr Wragg sent photos of his meat and two veg to a man he didn’t know over the internet, then leaked confidential information about MPs. This is the man who gleefully reported Boris Johnson to the police for eating a piece of birthday cake. Two years later, after announcing he was standing down, he admitted his actions to the press.

What moral universe does Mr Seely inhabit? How is it strong to send photos of your goolies to a stranger, then throw your colleagues under a bus while creating a security risk and keeping quiet about it? Parliament spends millions on MPs’ security.

Anywhere else this stupid two-faced man would have been sacked on the spot. But our MP praises him, then smirks as he says, “I hope he didn’t hand my phone numbers over.”

Our MP’s lack of judgement and standards is shocking. Doesn’t he think MPs should act like responsible adults, and look out for their own security, instead of charging everything to us taxpayers? Does he not believe MPs should be held accountable for their actions? MPs no longer deserve the word ‘honourable’ anywhere near their job title.

I have voted Tory all my adult life, but will never do so again and will now support the Reform Party.

Mr Seely may get a shock come the election – but never mind, even if we do kick him out, he’ll still pick up another £25,000 from ‘severance’ and ‘loss of office’ pay. Our politics has become a sick joke.
