Snows Motor Group has strengthened its management team on the Isle of Wight to better support local motorists and ensure the excellent levels of customer care for which the company is renowned are maintained.
The Hampshire-based family-owned firm, which operates more than 50 showrooms and workshops across southern and south-west England, runs a number of fantastic facilities at its island base in Forest Road, Newport.
One is a dealership representing the respected manufacturer Vauxhall; another is a Used Car Centre, where top-quality second-hand vehicles from a variety of brands are available.
Snows is also proud to have been accredited with Authorised Repairer Status by BMW, MINI, Fiat and Abarth on the Isle of Wight. Cars manufactured by the aforementioned brands are available to purchase via Snows dealerships in Portsmouth – with many other manufacturers represented there too.
But there’s no need to travel to the mainland for your next car – by talking to the team at Snows, or transacting online, it’s simple and straightforward to complete a purchase without having to leave the island.
The company is now delighted to announce two key personnel changes at its Isle of Wight operation – with both colleagues involved being proud island residents.
Tom Dowty has been promoted to Sales Manager for both the Used Car Centre and the Vauxhall dealership; while Lucinda Hall becomes Aftersales Manager covering BMW, MINI, Fiat, Abarth and Vauxhall.
Tom moved to the island in 2019 with his wife Lucy and two stepchildren. He and his family love exploring its beautiful countryside and coastline.
He said: ‘‘The island is perfect for a young family with all the activities it has to offer and its wonderful community spirit. We have fully immersed ourselves in island life and Lucy’s parents are fourth-generation islanders, so we have a history here that we intend to continue.’’
Tom has 20 years’ management experience with some of the world’s largest and most prestigious automotive brands and added: ‘‘That will stand me in good stead to operate our lovely site in Newport. I’ll be looking to strengthen further our customer relationships and create new partnerships with local people and their families and businesses.’’
Lucinda, meanwhile, has been with Snows for 10 years. She lived and worked in Portsmouth until three years ago when she started her previous role on the Isle of Wight. After a year of commuting across the Solent, she decided to move over and now lives in Ryde with her partner and two Labradoodles.
She said: ‘‘We love spending time on the beautiful beaches and exploring the countryside of the island. As Aftersales Manager, I look after all things service and parts for BMW, MINI, Fiat, Abarth and Vauxhall, as well as preparing cars for sale.’’
