Show a family you care by posting a card at Christmas

Supporters have asked for Christmas cards to be sent to the Bradley family –parents Hollie and Pete, three-year-old Blake and five-month-old Phoebe – during a time of great trial.

Their youngest child – five-month-old Phoebe – was born seriously ill. Well-wishers would like to get as many people as possible to write them a Christmas card to show that there is a lot of love and caring on the Isle of Wight.

They do not want to make their address public but have set up two drop off points in Cowes for the cards they hope people will write: Blake’s News Arctic Rd and Jaschlo in Shooters Hill. All cards will be put in a sack and delivered by Father Christmas on Christmas Eve.

Here is mother, Hollie, explaining, in her own words. about her daughter, Phoebe.
“Phoebe Amber Bradley was born on Friday, 20th July, 2018, at 2.51 pm, weighing 4lb. We had her at 36 weeks by c-section as she was breech and growth was slowing.

“We found out five days after she was born that she had Edward Syndrome (full trisomy 18). We were told her condition was life-limiting and that she only had days, weeks or months.

“However, she is now five months old and gets stronger every day. Her hole in her heart has closed up to our cardiologist’s shock. She has fought off bronchiolitis, colds and tummy bugs.

“She is our little miracle and every day we have her is a special one.”
