Shanklin woman to stand trial

A Shanklin woman has appeared in court charged with unlawfully and maliciously wounding her husband and is to stand trial at the Isle of Wight Crown Court.

Joanne Wraxton, 48, of Green Lane, did not enter a plea when she appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court today (Monday, December 17).

Mrs Wraxton has been charged with wounding or inflicting grievous bodily harm on Kenneth Wraxton without intent, on December 1.

She has been granted unconditional bail.

The defendant will next appear at the Isle of Wight Crown Court, for a pre-trial hearing, on January 28.
