Shanklin Seasons Art Class celebrated the completion of their course, with an exhibition of work opened by Lake Parish Council chairman, Cllr Paul Brading, with friends and family of the artists attending the event.
Cllr Brading said: “The standard of art on display was outstanding, with fantastic attention to detail, a tremendous range of landscapes and portraits. The exhibition was a credit for all of those involved.
“There is a real sense and spirit of community about the exhibition and I know further Wednesday classes are planned for the near future.”
Project co-ordinator, Deborah Speedie, added: “The exhibition was the culmination of months of painstaking work, and we are grateful for the support of all at Shanklin FC for providing such quality facilities and a fantastic setting for our students.
“The course included water-colours, acrylics and oil pastels, as well as providing a social setting for artists of all ages.”
