By Isle of Wight ObserverA Sandown man facing a string of charges relating to knives and weapons found in his possession in a public place has been sent to crown court for trial after a hearing on Friday (November 23).
Gavin Michael Price, 44, of Downsview, is accused of having 12 knives and two axes when he was stopped by police in Sandown on October 10.
He is also accused of having a crossbow and bolts and a catapult.
He is also charged with obstructing a constable in the execution of duty as well as multiple motoring offences, including failing to provide a specimen, driving without a licence, insurance or an MOT certificate, and possessing an imitation firearm in a public place.
Mr Price’s case was adjourned to the Isle of Wight Crown Court for December 21.
Mr Price was granted unconditional bail and did not enter any plea.
