Plans to build a series of garden huts at Culver Parade on Sandown seafront have been approved by the Isle of Wight Council.
The row of 18 new garden huts, which offer sea views and a place to relax in any weather, form part of the ongoing redevelopment of Sandham Gardens.
The hut design includes beach-facing double-doors onto a sun terrace and, to the rear, balconies overlooking the new development itself.
These huts offer amenities including kitchen units, an electricity outlet and a bench seat, while gates give access to the development, helping maintain privacy for their users.
Heritage Attractions Ltd, which owns The Needles Landmark Attraction, has a 50-year lease with Sandown Town Council to develop Sandham Gardens and has already revealed plans to open a dinosaur-themed golf attraction and a high-ropes course at the site.
Christian Zanti, operations manager, Sandham Gardens, said:“We’re excited to be able to press on with our plans for Sandown after getting the green light from the council.
“We have already started construction work on our ‘Dino Islands, A Golf Adventure’ attraction, which will open for Easter 2019, having already introduced electric karting to Sandham Gardens this summer.”
